Our Vocational Nursing program will prepare you to start your career as an entry-level healthcare provider. The 15-month program combines theory, technical skills, pharmacology, NCLEX preparation, and off-site clinical nursing experience, to provide you with the necessary skills to start your career as a Vocational Nurse.

As the demand for nurses continues to grow, our goal is to ensure that each student can meet the industry’s demands and make a difference in the community.

Smith Chason College is a postsecondary vocational college founded over 20 years ago by a 30-year tenured nurse and board-certified radiologist with a dream of educating the next generation of healthcare heroes. We remain steadfast in our founders’ dreams by working to provide an education that advocates for our students’ goals through an engaging, instructive, and supportive environment that continues beyond graduation.

Our legacy began with WCUI (formerly West Coast Ultrasound Institute), as a small ultrasound school in Southern California. Today, we have evolved to offer a variety of nursing degree and diploma programs developed by nurses and for nurses through the Smith Chason School of Nursing. We have grown to three campus locations in Los Angeles, California; Ontario, California; and Phoenix, Arizona.

Smith Chason College and our schools are nationally accredited by ACCSC, the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges.

Developed Simulation Lab
Students have access to High Fidelity Simulation Manikins that allow for the simulation of a variety of patients and equipment that nurses use daily, including IV pumps, trainers to practice medical procedures, and anatomical models. Our Sim Labs help build our student’s confidence for their clinical rotations.
